In April, we spent a week in San Francisco with Sage documenting their 2026 Sage Future event, focusing on the next wave of business tech – so naturally we delayed our flight to stay a few days and explore.
COFFEE & BREAKFAST SPOTS
Bohemian spot North Beach (yeah, there was an actual sandy beach here once) offers some lovely little eateries and Caffe Trieste is just one of them. Outstanding coffee plus you can get a tune going on the jukebox to set the mood. And if Caffe Trieste gives Central Perk in Friends, then The Lighthouse in the Bay Area gives Monks Cafe in Seinfeld; Think free refills, sat at the bar, in what’s really a diner serving American style omelettes. Oh and also we need to give Mellis Cafe in central it’s flowers because these guys know how to make the perfect bagel.
SIGHTSEEING
If you have half a day spare make sure to put Muir Woods at the top of your list. That’s not too say you only need half a day to explore Muir Woods, but it probably is the bare minimum.
